Add a handful of sweethearts to a simple homemade sugar scrub for a fun Valentine’s DIY that will leave your skin feeling silky smooth!
Did you say hearts?
Yep, that’s what I was thinking. This is such a fun little homemade beauty project especially if you want soft skin during these cold, dry winter months.
Sugar scrubs are simple to make and incredibly moisturizing and exfoliating to the skin. They can be used on your face, body, and feet leaving your skin soft and smooth.
This sugar scrub is super easy to make and perfect for Valentine’s Day. I love the color the conversation hearts add to the sugar scrub. Such a simple way to pamper yourself.
HOW TO MAKE SWEETHEARTS SUGAR SCRUB
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/4 cup sweethearts (conversation hearts)
Directions:
Step 1: Add sugar and oil to a small bowl. Mix well.
Step 2: Add sweethearts to a plastic bag and break into small pieces using the bottom of a glass. Add to sugar mixture and mix until well combined.
That’s it! Now you have a colorful sugar scrub to keep your skin silky smooth. Feel free to add a few drops of your favorite essential oil if you want.
VALENTINE’S DAY STRAWBERRY SUGAR SCRUB
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cane sugar
- 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries
- 3/4 cup melted coconut oil (room temperature)
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract.
Directions:
Step 1:Put the freeze-dried strawberries in a Ziploc bag, grab a rolling pin, and crush the sweet berry goodness out of those strawberries. And then crush them some more. We’re talking strawberry dust!
Step 2:Once you’ve got your strawberry dust, add your cane sugar to it in a small mixing bowl. Basically you’ve just got more dust now. Then, add the coconut oil and the vanilla extract to bind it all together.
Step 3:Stir that stuff up until your little fingers fall off. Or until it looks like it’s been stirred enough, whichever comes first.
SWEET GRAPE BODY SCRUB

Ingredients:
- 3 cups sugar
- 1-2 tbsp grape drink mix (kool aid)
- 2 1/2 cups melted coconut oil (room temperature)
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract.
Directions:
Step 1:In a medium bowl stir sugar and grape drink mix until combined (no more then 1 tsp. to start).
Step 2:Place oil into the medium bowl and mix until the oil has been incorporated into the sugar mixture. Once incorporated, store in an airtight container.
Important Tip: If you have problems getting the Kool-Aid to change the sugar to bright purple. Add a small amount of violet icing color to the sugar and oil. Once you have the purple add the Kool-Aid!
